Congratulations Cyprus!

Congratulations to Cyprus with their first victory in the Eurovision Online Contest. Nikki Ponte has won the ninth edition of our contest with her song 'Remember The Summer Nights'. She recieved 159 points from 23 countries and gets three times the twelve points.

In less than two hours, we will know the winner of the eight edition of the Eurovision Online Contest. That winner will host the tenth edition of our online competition. The ninth edition will be hosted by Baku, Azerbaijan. EOC #9 will be a different competition. It will be called 'Destination Baku'. Our participants will judge all the 42 songs of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. All the 42 countries will be represented in our contest, but how?

Everybody will keep their own country. Only the countries who not participate have the opportunity to choose for another country (in our case Andorra, Armenia, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Monaco, Poland). They must change their country to a country who is not participating in our contest. The list of these countries will be send to them tonight. Who's first, gets the country.

Just like in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, we have the 'Big Five' and the host country who have their places in the final for sure. They are Azerbaijan as host country and France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom as the five main sponsoring countries of the Eurovision Song Contest. These six finalists must vote in one of the two semi-finals and that will happen here also; Azerbaijan, Italy and Spain will vote in the first semi-final and France, Germany and the United Kingdom are voting in de second one.

The voting of the semi-finals will start on the 14th of April at 19:30 CET and will end on the 28th of April at 19:30 CET. 15 minutes later at 19:45 CET the voting of the final will start. The ending of the final voting is on the 12th of May at 19:45 CET. Results are coming out at 21:00 CET on Facebook.

Countries who don't have a delegation in our ninth edition, will have a anonymous guest jury for the semi-final and the final. In the final, ALL the countries are voting! Good luck with your country at this contest and also at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012... THAT THE BEST SONG WIN!
